Memorial Weekend

We went camping over Memorial weekend with CJ's sister and her husband, it was a lot of fun! Although, I HATE camping when it's cold and wet. But, it was Drake's first time camping since he started walking, so i stuck it out for him to have fun. It rained so much the last night that we had to leave our trailer on the Mt. until the ground could dry out.

SURPRISE!!!!

A couple weeks ago I threw a surprise birthday party for my husband. I invited most of his closest friends and blind folded him for the special celabration! It worked out perfect! He had NO idea what was going on! He's not "Over the Hill" or anything but.... he is half way to fifty... 25! I love you honey.... Happy Happy Birthday! O and a special thanks to my 3 sisters who helped me with the planning :)

Sunday Picnic

We had a picnic on Suday at a park in Cedar Hills for CJ's b-day. It was so nice and relaxing to just sit under the shade. We took Drake for a walk and then took him down the slide and for a swing (He LOVES to swing). And he really enjoyed the piggy back CJ gave him :)


But then, towards the end of the walk, Drake got so sleepy he had to use CJ's head as a resting spot for his own. He was a tired boy.

Our Little Sunshine

So, it's time to get the garden ready and CJ wanted drake to Join us outside while we were weeding. I was a nervous wreck the whole time. I didn't want him to touch this or pick up that. Not to mention, this was his first time walking around on his own with our HUGE outside dog. Well, after me running over to Drake a couple hundred times to pick him up and wipe him off, CJ finally turned to me and said "MADALYN! Just leave him alone and let him be a little boy!"

So this is Drake... being a little boy... eating dirt and sucking on Dandylion heads. Yes, you heard me correct... he poped them off and right in his mouth they went :) I've learned that I do need to calm down and let him do "little boy" things. It was fun and I know Drake loved it!
