It's that time again

It's already Christmas!.... I can't remember any other Christmas that I've been so excited for, and CJ and I aren't even doing gifts for each other this year. We're doing some stocking stuffers but the rest of the money was for our little Drake :) I can't wait for him to open up his gifts! He gets more and more fun everyday! And I can't wait to post pictures of him opening his gifts either.
During this time of year I find my self thinking about how happy I am when I'm with family and close friends, how grateful I am for a warm house, defrost in the car, and warm food! The other day Drake and I ran into the house because it was 18 degree's outside and when we got inside I said "Wow, Drake it's cold out there. We're really lucky and grateful to have a warm house, aren't we." (notice I didn't put a question make after my comment because I was not expecting an answer from my 20 month old son) To my amazement Drake looked at me and said "o, ya" and shook his head up and down. I thought for sure he would have just said "Cookie" and pointed to the pantry LOL I love Drake so much!

3 years down... a whole bunch more to go!

CJ and I celebrated our 3 Year anniversary on Nov 11th. It was very low key, but was nice to just relax. We went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill (I had never been there before) and it was Delicious! Then we rented a movie and went home to watch it :) We were going to spend the weekend at my parents cabin up A.F. Canyon but there was a big snow storm that came through that same weekend. I thought it would be so romantic to snuggle up in a blanket by the fire and watch the snow fall. CJ's response to the snow storm was more like "That's lame, I don't want to just sit there all weekend, we won't even be able to go down to the lake to go fishing." So we stayed home lol like I said before, once you have kids it's hard to get a way.

This was the fabulous ending to a great dinner (we got it to-go). It was kind of like a Lemon Tes Leches! SO GOOD! It has a thick Lemon mousse on top. mmmmmmm.

So I know most everyone who reads my blog are also my Facebook friends and I posted these on Fb but I'm just so thrilled with the way they turned out that I had to post them here too.

CJ's Aunt, Shanna, took these for us and I can't thank her enough! Drake was acting pretty fussy the whole time and I was afraid that we would only get a couple good shots... turns out that I love them all so far :)

Halloween and some other stuff

So it's official. Drake is no longer a baby :( He's just growing too fast to rock in my arms anymore, and O how he hates it when I try to do that lol. He loves Phineus and Ferb on the Disney channel. He also loves being outside, I think it's the fresh air or something because he just hangs out on the deck, sit on the bench and waves to EVERYONE he can see. LOL and then he yells "HI!" while he's waving. Some people are nice and look up, smile and wave back. Others look and then quickly look away. Either way, CJ and I just sit back and laugh!

hahaha This is CJ and his cousin Wade on Halloween. I had to post this picture because of how funny they both look.

My sister Jen had a Halloween party and she had a few games. Guess how much candy is in the bucket and guess how much the pumpkin weighs (lb's and oz's). I WON BOTH! I was only off 1 oz for the pumpkin and only 1 candy off of the total. So we took a picture of my winnings :)

p.s. for some strange reasoning my picture of Drake in his Tiger costume won't upload on the computer. I'll keep trying and show you asap.

Life is too fast!

Look how dang big my little Drake is getting! He's so smart and is so much fun! I love him more then life itself.

It's the infamous DUCK HUNTING SEASON so CJ "needs" to grow that hairy thing of his face that I dis-like SO much :)
We were getting ready for bed. O, and did I mention he's off the binky! YAY for us! It was not even a struggle. I didn't have him throw it out, or tell him "big boy's don't have binky's" like some parents recommend to do. I just took it away.

Drake was "rawr"ing like a Tiger in this picture. He's going to be a Tiger for Halloween so I want to make sure he gets practice acting the right part. I don't want him to be quacking like a duck. That would be confusing.

Dear Fall,
Do you know what I love?
I love warm, rich colors! Mustard yellow, forest green, chocolate brown, deep tan, burgundy, and burnt orange.
I love a black stormy sky with lightning bolts and tons of thunder.
I love sweaters, jackets, coats, and scarves.
I love weather in the 50's and 60's. (temp. not era) Cool and crisp when you walk out the door in the mornings. (however I also love to sleep in, so if I don't have to walk outside in the mornings it's even better haha)
I LOVE Thanksgiving. I love everything about it. The food , family and decorations.
I love big Quaking aspen tree's. I love when their leaves change to yellow.
I especially love the Japanese Maple tree (it's a really big one) that sits in front of the house I grew up in (my sister now owns it). I love when the leaves turn the darkest shade of plum red you'll ever see. It is big and beautiful. (I'll have to post a pic)
So please be a long Fall this year.

So our 3 year anniversary is coming up in about a month and a half and I'm not sure what to do. It's CJ's turn to plan it but neither one of us have any idea's. It's hard to really "get-a-way" when you have a baby/kid. (technically Drake's a kid now but I still call him my baby) We really don't want to spend the money on some hotel that we're just gonna sleep in for one night... so scratch those idea's. And because it's in Nov. it's hard to go camping when it's that cold. Goll, no wonder our parents just went out for "dinner" when we were all kids. It's hard to come up with new idea's that have not already been shared between us. Help me think, leave me a comment if you can think of something.

We've been so dang busy! Here is a list of all the many things that have been pulling me in all directions

- My Cousin Sheri's funeral
- Cleaning the trailer for our camping trip
- Going on the Labor Day camping trip
- Cleaning my house for people to walk through (yes that's right, we've sold our house)
- Getting all the paper work and copies of paper work ready for the sale to take place
- Looking for a new place to live
- We found that new place to live
- Picking out paint for this new place
- Gathering boxes for the move
- Pricing all the items for the yard sale that my sister's and I are having
- Setting up and taping yard sale signs around Lehi
- Cake and ice cream @ my mother-in-laws for her B-day
- Helping CJ get ready for his Antelope hunt in WY

I just can't wait for Oct to get here!

Update

Well, this computer is still being lame, soooooo no pictures.
Drake's timeout is not working quite as well as we'd like it to :) but... in parenting... does anything really go as planned?
Drake helped us wash my dads 4-wheeler the other day. He did such a good job. It was weird though, because the water was a little chilly and when the cold water would touch his feet, he would gasp for air, lol, like it took his breath away. He had fun though! (and I wish I could post those pic's)
We went to the Heber Rodeo/Fair and it was not that grand.... the company was great... but not the rodeo. The cowboys didn't do any good, and all the livestock were acting weird... it must be the high altitude that was getting to them all jk I don't know, but they did have fireworks after the rodeo and that was really fun and cool. We sat on our tail gait and watched them. (... more pic's that I wanted to post)

Welcome To Parenthood

I have some really fun pictures that I want to post but this computer won't upload them for me... lame!
Well Drake is now climbing onto the couch all by himself. While he's reaching to pull himself up he laughs... like really hard lol it's funny. And, he's been such a little stinker lately. He bit me twice the other day, and pinched me, and slapped CJ in the face, so as a result to all that we've started time out... we give him one warning ("No, Drake don't do that.") and when he does it again he goes to sit in the corner of the room for one minute. Wish us luck! We really need this to work before he enters the terrible two's

Friday night we went to the George Strait, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough concert at the Usana. It was a blast, as our Friday nights usually are LOL jk. We went with a big group of friends and family. I bought the tickets for CJ for his b-day

Movie Time

So last night I went to the movie's with two of my sisters

(Jen and Jess) and our

sister-in-law (Traci). We saw "The Proposal". For all of you

who have not seen it,

you must go now!!! It was so dang FUNNY!

Now, I will explain this picture. Drake is starting to get into

Celebrate Good Times

This Year half my family was gone for the 4th of July so CJ and I spent all weekend with his family. His extended family has a huge BBQ and camp out in their grandparents back yard every year. It's always a lot of fun and it's always the night of the 3rd. The night is filled with karaokee and scavenger hunts :) and this year

it was mine and Shaylee's (my sister-in-law)

turn to be in chagre of one of the hunts. On Saturday we invited

CJ's immediate family over for a BBQ and some fireworks.

Drake loved to look at the fireworks, but would NOT hold the sparkler :)

RODEO

In the last 2 weeks we've had 4 nights of Rodeo fun. And of coarse I only managed to get pictures of the last night we went. 2 out of the 4 nights we got dumped on by rain! Drake

went to one of them with us and he stayed awake the whole time, he had so much fun.

*Time To Ride*

My family went on a 70 mile 4-wheeler ride a couple months ago in the San Rafeal Swell. It alomost rained the whole time, and at times it got really cold! The country was awesome and I can't wait to do it again sometime :)

Concert Outing!

Saturday Night we went to the Josh Gracin, Darryl Worley and Megen Mullins "Tribute To Our Troops" concert. It was cold but we had a lot of fun! We went with Nick, Corinne, Ryan, and Whitney. They fired off 3 cannon shots, had fireworks, dropped 2 people out of the sky that parchuted down to the amphitheater, and flew a HUGE re-fueling plane over the amphitheater. I'll bet it was only 100 yrds. above us when it flew by. It was awesome! And, I even learned that Utah has the highest percent of troops deployed then any other state in America... wow we ROCK!
